|Details|| Following the Aum Shinrikyō Affair, the Institute for Zen Studies proposed a series of meetings to discuss the Affair from the standpoint of the individual Zen monk as well as that of the Zen school. A series of eight meetings, attended by the respective directors of Educational affairs from Rinzai head temples and various other individuals, was held between June 1995 and March 1996. Among the general themes discussed were, “What was the Aum Shinrikyō Affair?”, “Who were the Aum Shinrikyō believers?”, and “What should the Zen response be?”
