|Details||The Twelfth East-West Spiritual Exchange was held from September 17 to October 2, 2011. For the Twelfth Exchange two monks from Europe, two nuns from Europe, and one nun from the United States experienced Zen monastic life at Sōgen-ji in Okayama, Manju-ji in Ōita, Ten’e-ji in Gifu, and Eihei-ji in Fukui. The monastic stays were followed by a symposium at which the participants spoke of their experiences and impressions. After the end of the program on October 5 most of the participants remained in Japan for visits to Japanese Catholic monasteries that are participating in interreligious dialogue.
