Details | The 800th anniversary of the death of Min'an Yōsai, the monk who transmitted the Rinzai Zen teachings from China to Japan, will be observed in the year 2014. In commemoration of this event the Min'an Yōsai study group is surveying and collecting the master’s extant writings for a comprehensive collection of his works. The group has been examining materials found at the Kennin-ji subtemple Ryōsoku-in and surveying temples connected with the Tendai school in order to locate additional texts, particularly previously unpublished works. |
